Android Transfer Pics:
Problem/Challenge: Document simple how to transfer pictures from Android to PC
Why: Keep these instructions online/accessable/easy-to-modify

Technical Components: Step-by-Step
- Unlock your Android phone (or tablet)
- With a data USB-micro cable, connect your phone to your computer
A power-only USB cable will not work (this is only for charging)
- On your phone, “tap” -OR- “slide-down” to show the notification area (near top)
- Select “Charging this device via USB” notification

- Select “Connected as a media device” (Touch for other USB options)
- Under “Use USB for,” select File Transfer
On your Computer:
- A Device Ready Notification will open on your computer (or next step)
- Select it and select “Open Android-Device to view folder”
- a new File explorer window will open up
- Select simcard/Card folder
-OR-
- Select Device/Phone folder
- You may have pictures in both folders
- Select DCIM folder
- Select “Camera”
- Select each picture with “SHIFT-left-mouse”

- Select all pictures with “ctrl-A”
-OR-
- if unselect pictures, use “SHIFT-left-mouse” to toggle (this is select/unselect)
- After pictures selected, use “right-mouse-button” to drag files to destination folder
- When “right-mouse-button” released, Select MOVE -OR- COPY -OR- Cancel
- I select/move about 100 pictures at a time (that amount easy to manage)
- Confirm the pictures copied/moved (before next step, I select first and last Pic to view/check)
- Unplug the USB-mini cable (same as old/nicer EJECT step)
Results: Simple to follow, go back and repeat if more pictures
